Community Invited to Join the Jared Box “One Million Smiles” Celebration

Mount Nittany Health is a proud sponsor of The Jared Box Project “One Million Smiles” Celebration. This special milestone marks the creation and donation of one million Jared Boxes to over 400 hospitals across all 50 states since the nonprofit’s inception 20 years ago. Mount Nittany Health is honored to be part of this event, and we are excited to invite the community to join us on Saturday, August 6th from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm at Our Lady of Victory School gym in State College to celebrate.

The Jared Box Project is a nonprofit organization founded in State College, Pennsylvania that brings joy and smiles to children facing difficult times in hospitals and healthcare facilities across the country. It was inspired by Jared, a brave young boy who fought cancer with incredible strength and courage. Jared's spirit lives on through these special boxes filled with toys, games, and activities that provide comfort and distraction to children during their hospital and doctor visits.

Those who attend the event can expect an afternoon filled with fun, smiles, and activities for all ages. Children and adults will have the opportunity to create their very own Jared Box, which will later be donated to children in local healthcare facilities, including Mount Nittany Health. It's a meaningful way to spread happiness and provide comfort to those who need it most. This event is open to the public, and there is no fee to attend.
