Mount Nittany Health is pleased to announce that Kimberly Muffie, PA joins Mount Nittany Medical Center Hospitalists.

Kimberly earned her Bachelor of Science and physician assistants license from Saint Francis University. She has decades of experience in various physician assistant practices in Pennsylvania.

“Mount Nittany Health is a nationally ranked health care provider,” Kimberly said. “When I moved back to the area to be closer to my grandchild, Mount Nittany Health stood out as a place where I would want to work.”

Kimberly’s philosophy of care is to treat every patient and their family with compassion, empathy, and respect. The same philosophy extends to the colleagues that she works with to provide patient care.

“I practice old-school medicine,” said Kimberly. “I like to look people in the eye and engage. This is important in the age of telemedicine.”

Kimberly has two children and one grandchild. Her daughter is in the nursing program at Indiana University of Pennsylvania. When not spoiling her grandchild, Kimberly enjoys traveling to warm places and fly fishing.

Hospitalists are specially trained to care for patients needing inpatient care. They focus on patients on behalf of a referring physician to make sure patients receive tests, procedures, and a treatment plan throughout their hospital stay.

Hospitalists provide care at the Mount Nittany Medical Center on Park Avenue in State College. To learn more visit mountnittany.org.
