Mount Nittany Health and the American Society for Health Care Human Resources Administration (ASHHRA) are pleased to recognize March 13 – 17, 2023, as Health Care Human Resources Week. During this annual event, we celebrate our dedicated team of Human Resources professionals who play a critical role in Mount Nittany Health’s scope of care and services.
At Mount Nittany Health our Human Resources team specializes in employee relations, organizational development, management training and support, and performance management and evaluation. They help employees manage their benefit selections, address payroll questions, and provide critical information about our health system. The Human Resources team also plays an important role in implementing the voluntary Employee Wellness Program, contributing to the Employee Pulse Survey, and running the much loved Employee of the Month program. They also plan and execute the best week of the year: Mount Nittany Health Week!
Over the past year, the Human Resources team has contributed to significant improvements within our health system. They played an integral role in adding hundreds of new team members, including providers, nurses, and support staff, and they also completed a Human Resources Value Stream Analysis. The purpose of the value stream analysis was to analyze the rapidly changing demands, cumbersome processes, gaps, and other barriers faced by Human Resources, Finance and end users, as well as determine next steps on how to optimize and streamline processes and technologies to improve the workflow within Mount Nittany Health.
