Mount Nittany Health was honored to sponsor YMCA’s Healthy Kids Day on Saturday, April 29th. This wonderful community event was attended by more than 300 kids and provided a free, fun-filled way for families and people of all ages to spend a rainy Saturday in Happy Valley.

More than 20 local vendors, including Mount Nittany Health’s Children’s Advocacy Center, participated in Healthy Kids Day, and offered area children the opportunity to make crafts, partake in nutrition demonstrations, play games, tour fire trucks, win prizes, and more. The first 50 kids that completed and turned in a special event passport received a free event t-shirt. Attendees were also able to participate in an aquatic obstacle course, climb the YMCA’s rock wall, and attend a pickle ball demonstration.

“Mount Nittany Health was proud to participate in Healthy Kids Day,” said Kerri Kubalak, Manager, Community Engagement, Mount Nittany Health. “This fantastic community event brought families, volunteers, and local organizations together to promote healthy lifestyles in a fun and engaging way. It was a wonderful day where kids learned and played, and where the whole community came together to support our youngest members.”

Mount Nittany Health would like to thank everyone who came out and enjoyed this fantastic community event. By investing in and supporting incredible organizations whose vision for compassionate care so closely aligns with ours, we are directly fulfilling our mission of “Healthier people, stronger community.”
