Recently, two Mount Nittany Medical Center Emergency Department teams completed two 21-minute “door-to-needle” times in administering thrombolytic treatment. According to the American Heart Association, the benchmark door-to-needle time is 60 minutes.

On Sunday, March 10th, Penn State hosted its annual Team Ream basketball game where Team Ream presented the Mount Nittany Health Foundation with a check for $25,000 to assist financially disadvantaged individuals in the Centre region who have been affected by cancer and other serious medical conditions.

Mount Nittany Health’s team of navigators helps patients deal with challenges they may experience with a cancer diagnosis. The navigators help remove barriers to care and serve as advocates for patients and their families.

This team of 10 case managers cares for roughly 1,800 behavioral health patients each year, including approximately 225 children and adolescents, with the goal of improving access to screening, support, education, and treatment for individuals struggling with behavioral health problems.
