About Me
Brian Spencer, MD, is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon who specializes in total joint replacements, specialty shoulder care and sports-related injuries. He is an expert in modern joint replacement surgery, including robotic-assisted total knee replacement and anterior approach total hip replacement surgery. Dr. Spencer is also experienced in advanced arthroscopic and minimally invasive techniques involving the shoulder as well shoulder replacement surgery.
He earned his undergraduate degree from Penn State in 2000, then returned to his hometown of Philadelphia to receive his medical degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2005. He completed his orthopedic residency at York Hospital, followed by a fellowship in joint replacement and sports medicine at the University of Pennsylvania.
Dr. Spencer has been practicing at Mount Nittany Health since 2011. Outside of work, Dr. Spencer enjoys spending time with his wife and two children.
