Dr. Gregory Wilson, DO, Rheumatology, is joining Mount Nittany Health to support the rheumatology needs of the community.

A recent American College of Rheumatology (ACR) Workforce Study suggests that a gap exists between rheumatologist supply and patient demand for rheumatic care. With the addition of Dr. Wilson, Mount Nittany Health is proud to offer increased access to rheumatology care, close to home.

“I pride myself on listening to patients, hearing their stories, and providing good information back to them so they can understand their condition,” Dr. Wilson said.

Dr. Wilson holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Notre Dame and a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his fellowship in Rheumatology at the University of Missouri and has been practicing at Saint Luke’s Health System in Idaho. Before doing his rheumatology fellowship, he worked as an internist in DuBois, PA.

“It’s good to be close to home and family after living in Idaho for eight years,” said Dr. Wilson. “I am familiar with Mount Nittany Health’s excellent reputation and I’m thankful for the opportunity to be part of this health system.”

Dr. Wilson is married with two children. He enjoys gardening, spending time outdoors, hunting and fishing. He also appreciates a good college football game.
