Biography

Dr. James Gerardo, MD, PhD, joins Mount Nittany Physician Group Cardiology as an interventional cardiologist.

Interventional cardiologists at Mount Nittany Physician Group are specially trained to perform minimally invasive, nonsurgical, procedures for the treatment of heart attacks, coronary artery disease, valve disease and vascular disease.  The high-quality care provided by the Mount Nittany Physician Group interventional cardiologists has been an essential component to Mount Nittany Health’s success in earning Accreditation for Cardiovascular Excellence (ACE) for the last seven years.

Dr. Gerardo earned a Bachelor of Science in biology from The Pennsylvania State University and a Doctor of Medicine and a Ph.D. in physiology from East Carolina University School of Medicine. He is a member of the American Board of Internal Medicine specializing in interventional cardiology and cardiovascular disease.
