About Me
Jan Ulbrecht, MD, is a board-certified endocrinologist dedicated to improving the lives of adults managing a wide range of endocrine conditions. With over five decades of experience, Dr. Ulbrecht continues to find joy in building meaningful relationships with his patients, delivering individualized care and ensuring every person feels heard and supported.
Dr. Ulbrecht specializes in all aspects of endocrinology, with a particular focus on diabetes, thyroid disease, pituitary disorders, bone health, calcium metabolism, adrenal issues and reproductive endocrinology. His practice emphasizes a patient-centered approach, allowing time to listen, address concerns and collaborate on personalized care plans.
Outside of his work, Dr. Ulbrecht is an active member of the community, serving on the State College Borough Police Community Oversight Board and the University Area Joint Authority board. He is also an avid racquetball player, hiker, traveler and enjoys exploring books and art galleries.

Dr. Ulbrecht was very thorough. He explained everything very clearly and made sure that I understood everything. He is a good listener and allowed me to make decisions.

Dr. Ulbrecht recommended a new blood test. I agreed but never received the script even after inquiring with the reception before leaving and a letter followup on the portal via messaging.
