Alyssa was drawn to Mount Nittany Health because of its reputation as a regional leader in inpatient healthcare. "Mount Nittany Health is known for being a regional leader in inpatient healthcare, and they have amazing providers focused on providing quality care across many service lines in healthcare," she shared.

As a gastroenterology specialist, Alyssa's care philosophy centers on personalized, patient-centered, and evidence-based care. "My expertise lies in gastroenterology conditions; I aim to prevent, diagnose, and treat, thereby enhancing patients' quality of life," she explained.

Alyssa finds inspiration in her role by walking her patients through their healthcare journey. "I really enjoy acting as a counselor to patients in their healthcare journey. I'm here to support and help them, answer their questions, and ease their worries," she shared.

Alyssa holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and a Master of Science in Nursing from Penn State, where she recently completed her Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) with a focus on leadership. Her DNP project, "Self-Management of Ascites in Patients with Cirrhosis," showcases her commitment to improving patient outcomes and quality of life.

Outside of work, Alyssa enjoys spending time with family, friends, and her dog, Gigi. She is an avid fan of Penn State athletic events and loves engaging in outdoor activities.

As a lifelong resident of Centre County, Alyssa has a deep sense of community and appreciates the region's strong emphasis on well-being and quality healthcare. "I'm very fortunate to have grown up and reside in Centre County. I have a strong sense of community, and I love that the region has a strong emphasis on well-being and quality healthcare," she shared.
