Brihant Sharma, MD

Brihant Sharma, MD, is a board-certified internal medicine and endocrinology physician who is passionate about providing compassionate, patient-centered care. He completed his undergraduate studies in medical sciences at Northumbria University in Newcastle, UK, before earning his Doctor of Medicine degree with honors from St. George’s University School of Medicine in Grenada.

Dr. Sharma went on to complete his fellowship training in Endocrinology at Temple University in Philadelphia, his residency in Internal Medicine at The Wright Center for Graduate Medical Education in Scranton, Pa. and is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine.

His clinical interests include the management of diabetes, thyroid disease, osteoporosis and metabolic bone disorders, adrenal and pituitary conditions, polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), and menopause. Dr. Sharma is dedicated to involving patients in their care by clearly explaining his reasoning and treatment plans, ensuring they feel supported and empowered.

Born in India and raised in the United Kingdom, Dr. Sharma’s medical journey has taken him across the Caribbean, New Jersey, New York, Scranton and Philadelphia before settling in central Pa. He values the strong patient-focused culture at Mount Nittany Health and is proud to serve the local community.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Sharma enjoys playing soccer, cricket and piano, as well as hiking and camping. He has achieved the Duke of Edinburgh Gold Award and holds a Grade 8 piano certification from the London College of Music.
