Christine Tichansky, DO, FACEP, is a dedicated physician at Mount Nittany Health Center for Wound Care. Dr. Tichansky specializes in wound care, focusing on the management of nonhealing wounds. She treats both pediatric and adult patients, offering both in-person and telehealth appointments to provide accessible care.

Dr. Tichansky’s journey to becoming a healthcare provider began at a young age. She was inspired to pursue medicine by her desire to help others and the daily challenges healthcare presents. After completing her residency, she chose to join Mount Nittany Health, drawn by the opportunity to practice alongside her husband, who grew up in the area.

Dr. Tichansky is passionate about educating patients on their role in healing. She frequently emphasizes that patient involvement is essential to the success of wound management. She works collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including nurses, orthotics and specialists in surgical and vascular care, to deliver comprehensive treatment plans tailored to each individual’s needs. Her communication style is approachable, empathetic and kind, ensuring patients feel supported throughout their care journey.

When she’s not working, Dr. Tichansky enjoys spending time with her family, particularly helping care for her grandson. She also finds joy in reading, gardening and staying active through exercise.
