Dr. Kennita Burns-Johnson has extensive experience in general surgery and is board certified. She has been operating and performing laparoscopic and open surgical procedures including gallbladder surgery, hernia repair, abdominal procedures, subcutaneous and soft tissue mass excision, lymph node surgery, and placement of intravenous access ports.
Dr. Burns-Johnson earned a Bachelor of Science in chemistry from Temple University and a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. She completed her surgical residency at East End Health Alliance (now Stony Brook), a program that served Southampton Hospital and Peconic Bay Medical Center and did several rotations at Stony Brook University Hospital in Stony Brook, New York.
When she’s not treating patients, Dr. Burns-Johnson enjoys spending time with her family, bike riding and focusing on her own health.
