About Me
Laura Hoag Schneider, PA-C, has considered the Centre Region home since high school. After earning her Master of Physician Assistant Science from Saint Francis University, she returned to begin her career at Mount Nittany Health. Her interest in healthcare began early, inspired by a provider who truly listened and made her feel cared for.
Her care philosophy centers on empathy and treating every patient like family. “Every patient you interact with has people who love them,"" she says, ""so just as I would want to be treated well when I go see my providers, I think it’s important to treat my patients in the same manner.”
Helping patients make healthier choices is one of the most fulfilling parts of her work, and patient education is also a priority. Laura believes that understanding conditions and treatments empowers patients to take an active role in their health.
Outside the office, Laura enjoys reading, kayaking, hiking, walking her dog and spending time with family and friends. She also has a passion for interior design and loves working on home projects."
