Lynn Whittaker, CRNP, AOCNP, is proud to serve the State College community as a dedicated oncology nurse practitioner at the Mount Nittany Medical Center Cancer Center. A native of State College, Lynn is deeply committed to caring for her neighbors and helping improve the lives of adults facing cancer and blood disorders.

Lynn’s decision to pursue a career in oncology stemmed from her passion for the complexities of cancer care and her enthusiasm for staying at the forefront of advancements in the field. She is particularly drawn to the strong, long-term connections she forms with patients as they navigate what can often be a challenging and ongoing journey. Her expertise spans all areas of medical oncology and hematology, and she is committed to providing evidence-based, personalized care to every patient she serves.

Known for her clear, compassionate and collaborative communication style, Lynn emphasizes the importance of creating a welcoming environment where patients feel heard, supported and actively involved in their care decisions. She takes time to listen, validate emotions and ensure her patients understand every aspect of their treatment. Lynn’s approach combines clinical precision with a heartfelt commitment to helping each patient feel empowered and confident in managing their care.

When working with patients, Lynn often advises them to take things one day at a time, be honest about their physical and emotional well-being and lean on their care team and loved ones for support. She believes no one should feel alone in their journey and strives to provide the reassurance and encouragement her patients need.

Having grown up in State College, Lynn chose to return to her hometown to raise her family and give back to the community that means so much to her. Outside of work, she enjoys traveling and spending quality time with her family and friends. Lynn’s dedication to blending top-quality medical care with genuine human connection has made her an invaluable part of the Mount Nittany Health team.
