About Me
Stephen Donelan, MD, specializes in nephrology and is passionate about improving the health and well-being of his patients. Dr. Donelan earned a bachelor's degree in chemistry before pursuing medicine. He was inspired by the opportunity to apply science directly to patient care. His approach to medicine focuses on addressing complex kidney conditions and promoting better health outcomes for adults.
Dr. Donelan treats a wide range of kidney-related conditions, including acute kidney injury, chronic kidney disease, hypertension, electrolyte abnormalities, metabolic kidney stone evaluation, polycystic kidney disease and hereditary kidney disorders. He also provides dialysis and post kidney transplant care. Dr. Donelan is dedicated to helping patients understand the importance of controlling blood pressure in order to prevent further kidney damage and reduce the risks of vascular complications.
Dr. Donelan is committed to making high-quality care accessible. He enjoys working in a college town, where he collaborates closely with other physicians as part of a multispecialty group. This teamwork allows for better communication and coordination, ultimately enhancing care for patients.
