Lab tests are essential for managing your health. Whether you’re diagnosing a condition, managing a chronic disease or staying on top of your preventive care, lab testing gives you and your health care provider the insights you need to make informed decisions about your health.

Mount Nittany Health makes it easy to get tested with walk-in lab services and online scheduling at seven locations across central PA.

Getting your lab results is convenient, too. Review your test results from anywhere, at any time through the MyMountNittanyHealth portal.

Full-service lab testing

We offer a full range of lab testing services, from routine screenings to specialized diagnostic tests. We also provide testing to help monitor chronic conditions like diabetes, kidney disease, liver disease, nutritional disorders and autoimmune disorders. Our pathology team works with your provider to determine what tests should be performed for you.

How lab testing works at Mount Nittany Health

We make it simple to get the lab tests you need.

  1. Bring your provider’s order (physical or electronic), along with photo ID and your health insurance information.
  2. Walk in or schedule an appointment online or by calling call one of our lab locations.
  3. Receive your results — often the same day or within 24 hours — through MyMount NittanyHealth. You can also use the patient portal to message your provider with any follow-up questions. Additionally, you can schedule an appointment through the portal to discuss your test results with your provider.

Our staff will guide you through the process and answer any questions. Most lab tests, like routine blood draws, only take a few minutes.

Do I need an appointment for lab tests?

Walk-ins are welcome but we encourage you to schedule your lab appointment in advance. Doing so can reduce your wait time, and you can choose an appointment that’s convenient for you.

What should I bring to my lab appointment?

Bring your valid photo ID, health insurance information and provider’s lab orders (if your provider is outside the Mount Nittany Health system) to your appointment.

Can I view my lab results online?

Yes. You can view your results anytime through the secure MyMountNittanyHealth portal.

How long will it take to receive my lab results?

The time it takes for you to receive your lab results will depend on the type of testing done. Routine test results are often available on the same day or within 24 hours. It can take longer for specialized test results to come back.

Do I need an order from a provider for lab tests?

Yes, you’ll need to have an order from your health care provider to be tested at our lab locations. You can bring a physical copy of the order or have your provider send it electronically.
