Visiting Hours

Visiting hours vary by department and location

Mount Nittany Medical Center

  • Two visitors are welcome from 11:30 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.

Women and Children’s Services

  • While the patient is in Labor and Delivery: Two designated support people (24hrs) are allowed, no switching.
  • After the patient has been moved to PostPartum: One designated support person (24hrs)
    From 11:30 am – 8:00 pm: Two additional visitors at a time. No children under the age of 10. Siblings of the baby do not count towards the guest count.

Behavioral Health Unit

Behavioral Health Visitation :

  • Tuesday and Thursday, 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm
  • Weekends and Holidays, 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm

Alternate visitation times require prior approval by the treatment team.

All visitors must be approved by the patient, and only two visitors are allowed per patient during the one hour visitation period. Visitors must be 18 years old or older. All visitors must check in with staff upon arrival, sign in on the visitor log, and wear a nametag at all times during a visit. All items (clothing, personal items, gifts, etc.) brought for a patient will be inspected. No outside food or drinks for patients or visitors are permitted on the Behavioral Health Unit. Visitors are required to visit in the designated Behavioral Health Unit visiting areas at all times. No visitation is permitted in patient rooms.

Visitors are not permitted to bring any personal items, including their cell phones, cameras, computers, or recording devices into the Behavioral Health Unit. Please leave these in the car or in one of the provided visitor lockers outside of the Behavioral Health Unit.

To ensure a confidential and therapeutic environment, visitors are not permitted to share information they observe or hear on the unit with others.
