What is primary care?
Think of primary care as your “home base” for your and your family’s health needs. Whether you aren’t feeling well, are managing a long-term condition or have a medical question, your primary care provider (also called a PCP) is here to help.
Your primary care physician is your go-to for everything from minor illnesses to managing chronic health conditions — and they’ll guide you in making choices that keep you and your family healthy. Seeing the same PCP regularly means they get to know you and your health history, which can help them spot potential issues early.
At Mount Nittany Health, our primary care physicians in Central Pennsylvania are part of your community. They’re dedicated to building relationships with you and providing care that fits your life and health needs. And they’ll connect you with the right specialists when needed.
