Leonie Vachon, DNP, CRNP

Leonie S. Vachon, DNP, CRNP, A/GPCNP-BC is a board-certified nurse practitioner with various clinical experiences including gastroenterology, transplant surgery, family medicine and orthopedics. At Mount Nittany Health, she specializes in sleep medicine and treats sleep-related conditions such as sleep apnea, insomnia and narcolepsy.

She holds a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) from the University of Pittsburgh, a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from the University of Texas at Arlington and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from the University of Texas at Austin. Her clinical work has earned multiple patient satisfaction awards and her DNP project “Using Standardized Anemia Care Pathway in Caring for Patients with Inflammatory Bowel Disease” is recently published in Gastroenterology Nursing journal.

Leonie is passionate about promoting health education and empowering patients to take charge of their well-being. Her approach centers on partnership — working with patients to create individualized care plans — and her communication style is clear and relatable. She avoids medical jargon to foster understanding and encourages patients to be open and honest to ensure the best outcomes.

Outside of work, Leonie enjoys international travel, exploring new cultures and trying diverse cuisines.
