Justine Wrona, CNA poses with her employee of the month certificate

With a steady commitment to supporting patients through meaningful moments of care, Justine Wrona, CNA, Mount Nittany Health, brings empathy and kindness to each interaction. Her colleagues describe her as someone who offers comfort with sincerity, whether she is assisting with daily needs, providing reassurance, or supporting a patient during a vulnerable experience. Her calming strength brings comfort not only to those she serves but to the families and team members who depend on her.

For these reasons and more, Justine was recently named the October 2025 Mount Nittany Health Employee of the Month.

While Justine exemplifies all of Mount Nittany Health’s core values, she is being honored for the value of caring. Her nomination reflects the impact of her compassion. It stated:

“Justine was caring for a patient with very advanced, terminal cancer. Our patient learned during this admission that they were end-stage. After consultation with Palliative Medicine and several family meetings, the patient elected to return home with her sons and home hospice.

During rounds, the patient shared a desire to just be able to wash their hair and ‘try to feel normal again,’ adding that it had been a while since they had been able to shower. I asked Justine to help, and she made this patient’s night!

Justine got the patient into the shower, washed their hair, and helped them feel like a new human — so refreshed. It was literally a ‘spa day’ for our patient. Thank you, Justine, for filling the patient’s cup with joy and giving them the chance to feel like a regular human again. Justine’s TLC returned so much dignity to this very vulnerable patient at one of life’s most vulnerable moments. I appreciate her so much!”

Justine has been a valued member of Mount Nittany Health for 18 years, dedicating her entire career here as a Nursing Assistant. A graduate of Minersville High School with additional training through vocational school for her nurse assistant certification, she has long been committed to caring for others.

Reflecting on her role, Justine said, “I enjoy caring for people and making a difference for them. I love all my coworkers — they are a second family to me. We work together to get the job done and are always there for one another. I was very surprised to receive this honor. It is nice to be appreciated.”

Outside of work, Justine enjoys traveling and spending time with her family and their dogs. She lives in Bellefonte with her husband, Dave, and is the proud mother of two daughters, Nicole and Camryn. Their family is completed by their much-loved dogs, Bandit and Ranger.

Justine, thank you for your compassion, your dedication, and for the many ways you support your patients, your colleagues, and our community. We are honored to celebrate you and your embodiment of the Mount Nittany Health Experience.
