About Me
Kirti Sharma, MD, is a board certified internal medicine physician and inpatient acute care hospitalist. She earned her medical degree from Ross University and completed her internal medicine residency at Lutheran Medical Center in Brooklyn, N.Y.
Dr. Sharma chose a career in medicine because she loves engaging with people and solving problems. Helping patients navigate complex health concerns is what motivates her each day. Her approach to care is grounded in communication — she values spending time at the bedside, encouraging patients to ask questions and involving them in decisions about their health.
Before entering clinical practice, she conducted research at the National Institutes of Health and contributed to several peer reviewed publications in nephrology, oncology and gastroenterology. Over the course of her career, Dr. Sharma has held several leadership positions, including medical director of hospitalist programs and active membership on clinical committees.
Outside of work, Dr. Sharma enjoys biking, hiking, reading and exploring new places. She also speaks Hindi.
