About Mount Nittany Health’s Pharmacy Department
Mount Nittany Medical Center’s pharmacy department consists of pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, a systems coordinator, pharmacy buyer, and pharmacy management. The pharmacy department provides 24-hour services for inpatients.
Pharmacy technicians work side-by-side with the pharmacists to support the daily operations. They can be trained in various aspects of pharmacy technology, which aids in operational efficiency and improving medication safety. Many of our technicians are Certified Pharmacy Technicians (CPhT).
Our pharmacists are spread out across a wide variety of inpatient and outpatient pharmacy services. In addition to state licensure, most of our pharmacists have completed residency training programs, obtained board certifications, or advanced training and certification programs.
