Tara J. Shapich, PA-C

Tara Shapich, PA-C, is dedicated to providing patient-focused care in internal medicine at Mount Nittany Health. Tara offers both in-person and telehealth appointments to make healthcare more accessible to the community.

With a focus on managing chronic conditions and addressing acute concerns, Tara builds strong connections with her patients by listening closely to their needs and developing personalized care plans. She firmly believes that every patient is unique and works collaboratively with each individual to create treatment approaches tailored to their circumstances. Her goal is to help patients feel heard, supported and empowered in their healthcare journey.

Tara’s passion for medicine is inspired by the opportunity to form meaningful relationships with her patients. She was drawn to the Centre Region to join Mount Nittany Health after her husband began attending Penn State, and she values the chance to serve this vibrant community.

Her communication style emphasizes active listening and ensuring her patients feel understood during each interaction. Tara often reminds her patients not to give up if they feel something is wrong, reinforcing the importance of advocating for their health.

Outside of work, Tara enjoys spending time with her husband and two children. She is passionate about kayaking, water activities and engaging with her church community.
