Mount Nittany Health is proud to announce that the 34th Annual Mount Nittany Health Foundation Golf Classic raised over $470,000—setting a new record for fundraising at the event. Held on Friday, September 20th, at the Penn State Golf Courses, the sold-out tournament featured 288 golfers.
Proceeds from this year’s event will support the construction of the new Patient Tower at Mount Nittany Medical Center, slated to open in late 2026. This significant project will enhance both patient care and the clinician experience, marking a major investment in the health of the community.
“As a hospitalist, my primary focus is on delivering comprehensive care to patients admitted to the Medical Center,” said Natalie Tussey, MD, Mount Nittany Health hospitalist and chair of the Golf Classic Committee. “The new Patient Tower represents a key step forward for our community’s healthcare, enhancing the patient experience at every level. The overwhelming support from our community for this project is truly inspiring, and we’re excited for the future of Mount Nittany Health.”
Since its inception in 1991, the Mount Nittany Health Golf Classic has raised millions of dollars to support healthcare advancements in the Centre region, including funding for rehabilitation equipment at Mount Nittany Health Fitness and Rehabilitation and a new ambulance for Mount Nittany Health Emergency Services.
“We are deeply grateful for the incredible generosity of our community,” said Adrienne Krasowitz, Executive Director of the Mount Nittany Health Foundation. “It’s exciting to see the Golf Classic continue to grow each year, setting a new record for fundraising. This wouldn’t be possible without the dedication of our volunteers, donors, and sponsors, who truly make this event exceptional.”
Prizes were awarded for the longest drive, straightest drive, closest to the pin, and longest putt.
A heartfelt thank you goes out to everyone who made this year’s event a success, especially our golfers, volunteers, and sponsors! A special thanks to our title sponsor, The Whiting-Turner Contracting Company, and the Burning Tee Golf League for their continued support of the Golf Classic.
