Sallee Hart, Registrar/Scheduler, Mount Nittany Health Pediatrics, has quickly become a bright and steady presence in our organization. In just a few short months, Sallee’s compassion, thoughtful nature, and leadership have made a lasting impact on patients, families, and coworkers. Her empathy is evident in every interaction, and her consistent kindness reflects the very heart of who we are at Mount Nittany Health.

Sallee embodies the Mount Nittany Health Experience through her everyday actions, uplifting her coworkers, supporting providers, and advocating for patients in meaningful ways. Whether she’s helping a family access the care they need or simply offering a listening ear and a warm smile, Sallee leads with heart and purpose. Her presence makes others feel seen, valued, and cared for. She truly demonstrates what it means to serve with integrity, excellence, and care.

For these reasons and so many more, Sallee was recently named the April 2025 Mount Nittany Health Employee of the Month. While Sallee lives out all of Mount Nittany Health’s core values, she is being especially recognized for her exceptional teamwork.

Sallee was nominated by multiple providers, nurses, and support staff. Her colleagues all shared the same powerful sentiment:

“Sallee is incredibly empathetic, kind, and caring. She exemplifies the very best of what it means to be part of the Mount Nittany Health family. Her compassion touches everyone, including patients, families, staff, and providers. She goes above and beyond without being asked and always thinks outside the box to help those with unique needs. Whether it’s securing essential items or quietly bringing someone what they need before they realize it, her thoughtfulness knows no bounds. Her positivity creates a ripple effect across our department. She’s also a passionate advocate for our organization, recruiting new team members and believing deeply in the power of collaboration. We are all so fortunate to work alongside her.”

Sallee joined Mount Nittany Health in November 2024 and has already become an integral part of the Pediatrics team at Mount Nittany Health Toftrees. Prior to joining the health system, she worked her way up to serve as an executive director assistant, an accomplishment earned through dedication and hands-on experience.

Reflecting on her role and this recognition, Sallee said, “I enjoy the interactions I have every day with the patients that walk in the door. Whether they are here for the very first time or have been coming here for a while, each one is special. I also enjoy the people I work with daily. We all show what teamwork is and live it every single day!”

“I am very appreciative, honored, and thankful to have been considered and chosen for this award,” said Sallee. “I feel all the employees at Mount Nittany Health excel at their jobs. Mount Nittany Health hires the best, and we are all an important part of the Mount Nittany Health Experience.”

She acknowledged that the best part of her job and department is her colleagues. Sallee said, “They (my colleagues) truly show the meaning of teamwork each day. They are kind, considerate, and compassionate toward everyone. Every month, we have a potluck to celebrate birthdays or big milestones in someone’s life. It’s a wonderful way we stay connected as a team.”

Originally from Spring Mills, Sallee enjoys spending her time gardening, reading, trying new recipes with her cousin, and appreciating peaceful moments with her husband on their mountaintop. Most of all, she cherishes time spent with her family: her husband, Josh; her sons, Matthew and Trenton; and her daughters, Kaylee and Kelsee.

We are so proud to celebrate Sallee as part of our Mount Nittany Health family. Sallee, thank you for everything you do for your colleagues, our patients, and our community. Your example enriches the Mount Nittany Health Experience, and we are so grateful for all you do.
