Mount Nittany Health is pleased to announce a generous donation from Stocker Subaru to the Mount Nittany Health Foundation. Cory Stocker, Laurie Voinchet, and Natalie Arter personally delivered warm blankets and messages of hope to our cancer patients as part of the Subaru Loves to Care initiative in collaboration with the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
“We are so grateful to Stocker Subaru for this donation,” said Ashley Mekis, MSN, RN, OCN, NE-BC, Manager, Cancer Services. “Cancer patients have a hard time regulating their temperature, especially during treatment. These blankets help them to stay warm and keep them comfortable while receiving care.”
The Cancer Program at Mount Nittany Health provides comprehensive cancer care, using the most innovative cancer therapies, combined with compassionate, patient-centered care to treat every aspect of the disease. Through a network of physicians, providers and partners, Mount Nittany Health is dedicated to delivering the highest level of oncology services and cancer care to anyone in the community impacted by this disease.
Additionally, Mount Nittany Health is proud to participate in a partnership with the Penn State Cancer Institute, known as the CANCER CARE PARTNERSHIP. Through the partnership, patients benefit from the combined resources and expertise of Mount Nittany Health and Penn State.
A heartfelt thank you to all our providers and staff for their commitment to treating and comforting cancer patients and their families. Your dedication to Mount Nittany Health’s mission of “Healthier people, stronger community” is truly inspiring.
