Mount Nittany Health is pleased to announce that Cosetta O’Neil, CRNP, has joined Mount Nittany Health General Surgery.

“I am excited to work alongside an incredible General Surgery team in the Mount Nittany Health operating room as a nurse practitioner,” said O’Neil.

O’Neil earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Lock Haven University and the family nurse practitioner designation from Maryville University in St. Louis, Missouri. She joined Mount Nittany Health in 2013 in the Women and Children’s Unit and, in 2015, joined the Mount Nittany Health operating room. After completing her Nurse Practitioner program, she joined the Mount Nittany Health General Surgery team.

“Patients should be treated holistically,” said O’Neil. “This encompasses their physiological and psychological systems while acknowledging spiritual, cultural, and social needs.”

O’Neil will assist Mount Nittany Physician Group surgeons in the operating rooms at both Mount Nittany Medical Center and Mount Nittany Health Surgical Center. In addition, she will contribute to the care of patients coming into the Emergency Department or admitted to our General Surgery service.

O’Neil enjoys spending time with her husband, son, family, and friends when not providing patient-centered care. Together they enjoy the outdoors dirt biking, cycling, hiking, hunting, and fishing.
