Mount Nittany Health is proud to welcome David Han, MD, board-certified and fellowship-trained vascular surgeon, to its medical staff. A Chester County, Pa., native and Penn State alumnus, Dr. Han is excited to be serving the community where his journey in medicine began.
Dr. Han earned his undergraduate degree in biology from Penn State, his medical degree from Harvard Medical School and completed his fellowship in vascular surgery at the Mayo Clinic. He specializes in the care of patients with both arterial and venous disease, including aortic aneurysms, carotid artery disease and critical limb ischemia, using both traditional and minimally invasive approaches.
“Joining Mount Nittany Health feels like returning to my roots,” said Dr. Han. “It’s a privilege to care for patients in the region where I discovered my passion for medicine and I look forward to serving this community with the highest standards of vascular care.”
Dr. Han has been recognized as a Castle Connolly Top Doctor since 2015, a distinction awarded to physicians who are nominated by their peers for excellence in patient care. Earlier this year, he also received Penn State’s highest alumni honor, the 2025 Distinguished Alumni Award, in recognition of his professional achievements and service.
Previously, Dr. Han served as a faculty member in the Division of Vascular Surgery at Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center, where he held both clinical and academic leadership roles. He currently serves as a Director of the American Board of Surgery, helping to shape the future of surgical standards and education nationwide.
