Mount Nittany Health is pleased to announce that Marta Roy, CRNP, MSN, has joined Mount Nittany Health Family Medicine at our Penns Valley location.

“State College is my hometown. I spent my childhood here,” said Roy. “The opportunity to give back to the community that gave me so much growing up is special.”

Roy graduated first in her class from Penn State College of Nursing. She went on to earn her Master of Science in Nursing from Georgetown University. She is a Family Nurse Practitioner and a Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner.

“Georgetown University’s motto is cura personalis which translates to “treat the whole person,” which is also my philosophy of care,” said Roy. “Treating the whole person and not just the ailment is important.”

Her philosophy of care extends to educating the patient on how they can contribute to their own better health.

“There are some small things that patients can learn about that can go a long way to affecting their health,” said Roy.

Roy is married and the mother of three children under five, two dogs and one Labrador puppy. Her family enjoys the outdoors and doing “messy art projects.”

Roy joins Mount Nittany Health Family Medicine in Penns Valley.  Laboratory and imaging services are also provided at this location in addition to several MNPG specialties, including cardiology, endocrinology, orthopedics sports medicine, and nephrology. To schedule an appointment, call 844.278,4600 or visit mountnittany.org.
