Jack Swarm, Patient Access Representative, Mount Nittany Health, is a well-respected and valued team member who makes an incredible difference at Mount Nittany Medical Center. He is reliable, pleasant, adaptable, and always willing to lend a hand when needed. He is continually praised by individuals in multiple departments for his efficiency, positive attitude, and willingness to go above and beyond in every situation.

Jack exemplifies all of Mount Nittany Health’s core values of caring, excellence, integrity, respect, teamwork, and stewardship. For this honor, he is being recognized for epitomizing excellence in everything he does.

Jack was nominated by nearly two dozen colleagues from multiple departments for the Employee of the Month honor.

They wrote: “We love Jack in the Emergency Department because he gets the patients registered quickly and appropriately, which ensures they can be seen in a timely manner. His work helps multiple departments keep up with admissions and discharges. Jack constantly smiles, is incredibly personable, easy to talk to, and is always nice and respectful to both patients and staff. He maintains a cool and calm demeanor, even during the most stressful situations. It is refreshing. We are so grateful that on top of making patient satisfaction a high priority, Jack shows so much compassion toward his colleagues. Jack is an amazing asset to the Patient Access team and we are beyond lucky to have him as a colleague and friend.”

Jack is from Bellefonte, Pennsylvania. He graduated from Bellefonte Area High School in 2020, and attended Penn State Behrend before joining the Mount Nittany Health team in August 2022.

“I am truly honored to have been selected as the November Employee of the Month,” said Jack. “I really enjoy coming to work with so many great colleagues and friends, and I am grateful to work with a group of amazing people. They make the workday so enjoyable.”

When Jack isn’t busy serving the community as a member of the Mount Nittany Health team, he enjoys reading, watching movies, and playing the guitar. He is grateful for the love and support of his parents Dan and Cathy Swarm, his brother Ryan, and his dog Lucky.

We are grateful that Jack is part of our organization, and applaud him for demonstrating our core values. Please join us in congratulating him on this tremendous honor. Jack, thank you for all you do, and for contributing to our mission of “Healthier people, stronger community.”
