Mount Nittany Health is pleased to introduce Sarah Gross, PA-C, who will join Mount Nittany Health as a hospitalist. Sarah's choice to join our team is grounded in her deep appreciation for the close-knit community and the unique balance of award-winning care and community-focused values that define Mount Nittany Health.

Sarah graduated from Penn State University with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. She holds a Master of Health Sciences in Physician Assistant Studies from Lock Haven University.

Sarah understands the spirit of our community. “I recognize the significance of Mount Nittany Health's commitment to delivering exceptional care,” she said.

“My philosophy of care revolves around two fundamental tenets: working to care and working to cure,” said Sarah. “As a healthcare provider, my job is to work as a detective, compiling and processing information to determine the proper treatment.”

Sarah draws inspiration and motivation from medicine's unique blend of humanism and intellectualism. Practicing medicine means creating a genuine connection with patients during vulnerable moments, serving as their advocate, and significantly impacting their treatment course.

As a hospitalist, Sarah provides general medical care for various conditions, illnesses, and diseases, welcoming patients admitted to Mount Nittany Medical Center. Specially trained in caring for patients needing inpatient care, hospitalists are focused on patients to ensure they receive proper tests and procedures.

“I’m inspired by advancements in medicine and the stories, struggles, and victories of my patients,” said Sarah. “I’m committed to going out of my way to impact a patient's treatment course positively.”

Beyond her medical practice, Sarah stays very active. She enjoys outdoor activities like hiking, camping, and skiing (cross-country and downhill). Sarah is also a sports enthusiast who attends various Penn State sporting events and is optimistic about this year's men's basketball team.

Sarah recently began the enjoyable hobby of making charcuterie boards. She values spending time with friends in the area, exploring different restaurants and shops, and having relaxing movie nights.

Mount Nittany Health is honored to have Sarah as part of our healthcare team and looks forward to the positive impact she will make on the lives of those she serves.
