Amber Purdy, PA-C, brings a wealth of experience as an advanced APP in primary care.

Mount Nittany Health offers primary care services at nine convenient locations in Centre, Clearfield, and Mifflin Counties. The addition of Amber is part of Mount Nittany Health’s expansion of primary care services with the addition of new providers and several transfers of existing providers. The goal is to enhance access to nationally recognized medical care and patient service.

“I grew up nearby and like the small community feel of Mount Nittany Health,” said Amber. “It’s pretty close-knit and it’s easy to talk to the specialists here.”

Amber holds a Bachelor of Science from Lock Haven University and a Master’s in Physician Assistant Studies from Mercyhurst University.

“When I treat patients, I look at each one as an individual and try to assess their physical and mental health,” said Amber. “That way I can view each person as an individual and deliver the care that they need. Having family members with chronic illnesses is what motivated me to join the medical profession.”

Amber is active in her church and participates in the church’s mission work. She is married and has a daughter who recently turned one.
