Kayla joined Mount Nittany Health after working as a physician assistant in Altoona. She was drawn to her current position, motivated by the positive reputation she had heard about the health system, and she felt it was the perfect match for her expertise and dedication to patient care.

“I emphasize the importance of patient involvement in their healthcare journey and the collaborative nature of the decision-making process,” said Kayla. “I firmly believe patients should be informed and empowered to make choices aligned with their healthcare goals.”

Kayla holds a Bachelor of Science in Behavioral Neuroscience and a Master of Physician Assistant Studies from Grand Valley State University.

As a healthcare provider, Kayla is inspired when people achieve the desired results and by seeing healthcare interventions work as intended. This motivation keeps her dedicated to her role as a Hospitalist and committed to providing the best possible care to her patients. Kayla's past experience includes specialization in obstetrics and gynecology (OB-GYN).

Outside her medical practice, Kayla enjoys spending quality time with her beloved pet, a springer doodle named Radar. She was recently married and enjoys reading, working on puzzles, and indulging in her hobby as an amateur line dancer. These interests highlight her dedication to balancing her professional life with personal activities that bring joy and fulfillment.

Kayla's commitment to community and mentorship extends beyond the realm of healthcare. She serves as a sorority advisor for Alpha Sigma Alpha at Penn State, providing guidance and support to students. Her role as a mentor underscores her dedication to making a positive impact not only in the healthcare field but also in the lives of the individuals she encounters.
