“I get such a sense of satisfaction getting to know and taking care of the people in the community where I live. I feel providing my patients with the best care I can provide makes our community stronger.”
Casey Wineland, CRNP
Casey earned her Bachelor of Science Nursing from Waynesburg University, a Master of Science Nursing from Indiana University of Pennsylvania, and a Master of Science Nursing from Bloomsburg where she became a family nurse practitioner.
“I was a critical care nurse at Mount Nittany Health for eight years before I became a nurse practitioner,” said Casey. “This allows me to further impact our community on a more direct and personal level since I’m now able to follow my patients throughout their lives. The mission of Mount Nittany aligns with my personal goals and philosophy of care for my patients.”
Being part of the community is an important part of Casey’s life. Her husband and daughter are Penn State sports fans, enjoying football, hockey, and wrestling and they also support local organizations like the Arc of Centre County and Rising Hope Therapeutic Riding Center.
