Claire Nelson, DO

Claire Nelson, DO, is a dedicated family medicine physician who provides compassionate, patient-centered care to individuals of all ages. She earned her medical degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed her residency with The Penn State Health Family and Community Medicine Residency at Mount Nittany Medical Center.

Dr. Nelson has received several honors throughout her career, including the POMA Residency Wellness Grant in 2024 and awards for community health initiatives during her medical training. She also serves as the vice president of the Centre County Medical Society, where she leads community-focused initiatives and policy development efforts.

Dr. Nelson offers comprehensive family medicine services, including care for newborns, adolescents, adults and seniors. She has a special interest in adolescent and women’s health and enjoys providing personalized care that supports patients through every stage of life.

In her free time, she enjoys hiking with her rescue dog, Teddy, going to Penn State sporting events — especially football games.
