Dawn Rosenbaum, PA-C, brings a unique blend of medical expertise, community involvement, and a passion for providing inclusive, consent-based care to all individuals.
The opportunity to work with a local community group drove Dawn to pursue a career as a healthcare provider. “I was so excited at the opportunity to work with local community groups to affect positive outcomes for the community,” they said.
Dawn is committed to empowering patients to participate actively in their health decisions. "Your job as a patient is to make an educated decision. No one can care more about patient care than the patient,” Dawn shared about their fun and light-hearted philosophy of care, “And if anyone sings or dances, I must provide backup!"
As a healthcare provider, Dawn is motivated by the opportunity to give people the tools they need to lead healthy lives and be present for the moments that matter most to them. They believe in providing inclusive and consent-based care to all individuals, ensuring that every patient feels respected, heard, and valued.
They hold a Master of Health Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Lock Haven University and a Bachelor of Science in Biology (Microbiology and Medicine; Minor Chemistry) from Bridgewater State University, where they graduated Magnum Cum Laude.
Dawn's diverse clinical experience includes rotations in gastroenterology, emergency medicine, OB/GYN, internal medicine, urgent care, pediatrics, family practice, and trauma surgery/emergency general surgery.
Dawn is an active community member outside of work and is involved in various organizations. They are the Company Director of Happy Valley Improv. Dawn is also studying Spanish and American Sign Language to serve their patients better.
Dawn's dedication to patient care has been recognized with the Geisinger Top Patient Experience Clinician award in 2022. They are also a member of the DEIB+ Advocacy Committee of Centre County, demonstrating their commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging.
