Kiersten E. Pearce, PA-C

Kiersten's journey to becoming a healthcare provider began when she was in high school and witnessed the exceptional care her grandmother received from advanced providers during her battle with lung cancer. This experience inspired Kiersten to pursue a career as a physician assistant.

Kiersten was drawn to Mount Nittany Health because of its tight-knit community and the opportunity to work in a community hospital setting. With family in nearby DuBois, Pa. and fond memories of traveling to Penn State swim meets as a child, Kiersten has a strong connection to the Centre Region.

"My philosophy of care is to treat each patient how I would expect my family to be treated," Kiersten shared. "I believe patients should have the freedom of choice on what they ultimately decide to do regarding their health."

As a healthcare provider, Kiersten finds motivation in helping patients feel better and turning their situations around so they can live normal lives afterward. She takes great pride in being able to make a positive impact on her patients' well-being.
At Mount Nittany Medical Center, our hospitalists provide general medical care for various conditions, illnesses, and diseases, to admitted patients. Specially trained in caring for patients needing inpatient care, hospitalists are focused on patients to ensure they receive proper tests and procedures.

Kiersten holds a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies and a Bachelor of Health Science (BHSc) from Gannon University. During her clinical rotations, she gained experience in various specialties, including infectious disease and wound care, internal medicine, obstetrics and gynecology, psychiatry, oncology, general surgery, family medicine, pediatrics, and emergency medicine.

Outside of work, Kiersten is passionate about swimming. She swam competitively for 12 years, including four years in college, where she was a four-year NCAA Academic All-American. She enjoys spending time with her parents, considering her mom her best friend, and caring for her beloved Cavapoo dog, Zazu. Kiersten also loves to travel and read and is an avid Disney fan.
