Lester Griel, CRNP

Lester C Griel III, CRNP, is a dedicated primary care provider with a focus on supporting patients in achieving their best health. Board-certified as a family nurse practitioner, Lester brings years of experience and a thoughtful approach to treating both pediatric and adult patients. He specializes in a wide range of health conditions, striving to help patients maintain optimal wellness and recover from illness.

Growing up in Centre County, Lester was inspired by his parents’ careers in healthcare — his mother, a registered nurse, and his father, a veterinarian. Surrounded by the values of care and service, Lester felt a natural calling to join the healthcare field. His strong ties to the area, coupled with his family’s connection to Mount Nittany Health, made it a clear choice for him to practice medicine locally.

In Lester’s approach to care, patient communication is at the center. He takes the time to listen carefully, ensuring every patient feels heard and supported. By including patients in the decision-making process and using relatable language to explain complex medical topics, Lester helps patients feel confident in managing their health. He encourages healthy eating, regular physical activity and prioritizing mental wellness, emphasizing balance in all aspects of life.

Outside of work, Lester enjoys exploring his passion for genealogy and music, having played seven different musical instruments over the years. He is also a life member of the Alpha Fire Company, where he has served in various leadership roles, including president of the company, reflecting his dedication to the community.
