Michael Figart, DO

Michael Figart, DO, is a board-certified internist and pulmonary medicine specialist with advanced training in critical care. He completed his fellowship in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at the USF Morsani School of Medicine–HCA Citrus, where he served as Chief Fellow. His clinical interests include advanced ICU management, robotic bronchoscopy with EBUS for lung cancer diagnosis and ECMO therapy.

“I like to think that my approach to care is unique due to my commitment to treating each patient as an individual and not just a diagnosis,” says Dr. Figart. “My goal is to deliver the highest level of care while maintaining a personal connection that helps patients feel heard and understood.”

Dr. Figart chose a career in healthcare out of a deep commitment to helping others and a fascination with the science of the human body. He was drawn to pulmonary and critical care medicine because it allows him to care for patients during some of the most vulnerable and critical moments in their lives — combining advanced medical knowledge with compassion and teamwork to make a meaningful difference.

In his free time, Dr. Figart enjoys sports, including basketball, exercising and spending time with his family and golden retrievers.
