This group focuses on treating acute problems and helping you navigate your journey throughout your stay. They are committed to understanding your child’s needs and ensuring a smooth transition to recovery after your child leaves the Medical Center.
Treatments / Services
Pediatric Hospitalists provide care to patients under 18 who are admitted to the hospital. They ensure your child undergoes the right tests and procedures and manage their treatment plan.
From the moment your child is admitted to Mount Nittany Medical Center, our pediatric hospitalists review your health records and gather information to create a care plan.
When it’s time for them to leave, pediatric hospitalists ensure a seamless transition. Medical details are shared with their pediatrician physician and/or other specialty providers. If you don’t have a pediatrician, we’ll help you connect with one. We’ll let them know about the care you received while at the Medical Center.
For the best recovery, we urge you to schedule a follow-up appointment with your pediatrician.
