MyMountNittany is a secure online portal that allows you to access your health information, schedule appointments, communicate with your care team and more — all in one place.
It replaces the previous Meditech portal and provides expanded features through Epic MyChart. MyMountNittany is available 24/7 through your computer, tablet or smartphone.
Yes. MyMountNittany is a brand’new portal on Epic’s MyChart, so all users must create a new account — even if you previously used the Meditech patient portal. During signup, you may be asked to complete a third’party identity verification step through Experian. This is a standard security measure to protect your health information.

You can choose how you want to receive notifications — including email, text and app notifications — by going to “Menu” and selecting “Communication Preferences.”
From there, you can update preferences for appointment reminders, messages, billing notifications and more.
You can sign up for MyMountNittany by answering some short questions.
Prescription refills and renewals in MyMountNittany may not be available until after your medications have been reviewed and added to your chart. Once you have been seen by your care team and your medications have been updated in your chart, you should be able to request renewals through the patient portal.
If you need a medication renewal, please contact your prescribing provider’s office. If you need a refill on a current prescription, please contact your pharmacy directly.
Yes, you can download the MyChart app for free on your Apple or Android device. Once downloaded, select Mount Nittany Health as your provider and log in using your MyMountNittany username and password.
If you already use MyChart, you select “Add Organization” and can search for “MyMountNittany.” It’s as easy as that!
Yes, MyMountNittany is designed with your privacy and security in mind. It uses advanced encryption and secure logins to keep your health information protected.
Yes. If you have a video visit with us, you will need to download the MyMountNittany app and create an account before your appointment. All video visit details — including instructions and the link to join your appointment — will be sent through MyMountNittany.
To help ensure your visit goes smoothly, we encourage you to:
- Create a MyMountNittany account
- Log in before your scheduled appointment date

With MyMountNittany, you can:
- View test results and health summaries
- Schedule and manage appointments
- Message your care team

- View and pay your bills securely
- Manage proxy access within your account
- Receive paperless billing
Yes. All MyMountNittany users are automatically opted in to paperless billing. If you prefer to receive paper statements, you can opt out at any time:
- Log in to MyMountNittany and click on the menu (hamburger icon)
- Go to “Billing”
- Select “Paperless Preferences”
- Turn off Paperless billing and select “Save changes”
Proxy access allows you to view and manage the MyMountNittany account of a child or another adult (with their permission). There are two ways to establish proxy access in Epic:
Self-setup by the person giving access
The individual who wants to grant access can do so directly in MyMountNittany:
- Log in to MyMountNittany and click on the menu (hamburger icon)
- Go to the “Sharing Hub”
- Select “Manage Friends and Family Access”
- Click “Invite Friends or Family” and complete the requested information
Request proxy access
To request access:
- Log in to MyMountNittany
- From the main menu at the top, scroll down and select “Questionnaires”
- Click “Proxy Access Request Questionnaire” and complete the questionnaire
- Select the appropriate level of access
- Upload applicable documents and complete/submit
- Health Information Management (HIM) reviews and approves (may take 3 to 5 business days)

Note: If you had proxy access in Meditech, it will not automatically transfer to Epic. To continue having proxy access, you will need to set it up in Epic. Simply click "Forgot Username" or "Forgot Password" on the MyMountNittany login page and follow the prompts to recover your account.
No, MyMountNittany should not be used for urgent medical situations. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, please call 911 or visit the nearest Emergency Department.
