For Patients
About Our Patients
You may come to us one of two ways:
- Through Mount Nittany Medical Center’s Emergency Department (ED)
- As a transfer from another inpatient setting
If you are admitted to our care, you will first go through the ED for a physical health assessment before being admitted.
What to Expect
Your safety and wellbeing is our top priority. We want to help dispel as much anxiety as possible. Once medically cleared to enter, you’ll receive an assessment to determine the level of treatment you require that would be most appropriate.
Once you are admitted, you will then meet with psychiatric providers and members of our interdisciplinary team to determine how we can meet your needs and set goals to help you return safely to the community. Treatment activities and groups are scheduled throughout the day and we encourage all patients to participate.
