One of the familiar faces Mount Nittany Health employees and patients look most forward to seeing is Julie Blair, a member of the Nutrition & Culinary Services team at Mount Nittany Medical Center. Her friendly personality and smile are infectious. She continually goes above and beyond to help her colleagues, and always provides exceptional service to Café patrons. For these reasons and many more, Mount Nittany Health was pleased to celebrate Julie as one of its Employees of the Month.

Mount Nittany Health has been fortunate to have Julie as an employee for more than nine years. She currently works in the Café and enjoys serving customers, running the register, and creating an environment where staff and patients can relax and enjoy delicious food. Julie has worn many different hats as a member of the Nutrition & Culinary Services team, including a position in the patient tray room, as a diet aide, and as a menu attendant. In addition to providing outstanding customer service, she continually goes out of her way to help others. Julie embodies what it means to be a team player.
One of Julie’s favorite parts of her job is working with such an extraordinary group of people who go above and beyond to work together as a team. “We work with each other day in, day out,” said Julie. “They say coworkers usually make or break your job. In my case, my coworkers make my job easier.”
Although it was no surprise to anyone who knows Julie, she said she was stunned to be named Employee of the Month. She reflected on the honor: “It is definitely a wonderful feeling to be acknowledged and to have others appreciate my work ethic. I want to thank everyone who recommended me for Employee of the Month. I appreciate you all!”
